Donnielle James L.Ac is a licensed acupuncturist based in Santa Monica with 20 years of experience working in a variety of clinical and fitness settings. Her career began working in counseling and mental health, primarily working with women and teens dealing with addiction and related issues. After graduating from Pepperdine University, she completed a certification as a pilates teacher under Marie Jose Blom, and adapted a teaching approach influenced by her experience recovering from sports related orthopedic injuries, years of studying classical ballet and coursework in movement therapy.
As an acupuncturist, she actively pursues continuing education related to gynecology, integrative reproductive medicine, orthopedics, pain management, and support for recovery from eating disorders and substance addiction.
As a pilates teacher, she has over 14 years of experience working in clinical settings providing: sport specific conditioning, general fitness, postural assessment, movement education, pre/post natal support, and post surgical rehabilitation with a focus on body positivity.
In her free time. she enjoys plant-based cooking, spending time outside and is passionate about animal rescue/advocacy and health awareness.
